About

I am a creator, designer, writer, and educator. I currently work as a Senior Design Manager at Cisco. Before joining Cisco, KC worked at IBM and held several roles from Chief of Staff to user experience designer. I’m also an Adjunct Professor at NYU ITP.

My career began teaching English in Chicago, San Diego, Czech Republic, and New York City. After 5 years of teaching, including a year of service in Americorps, where I completed 1700 hours of community service, I left teaching to pursue a Master’s degree from New York University. During my time at NYU’s Interactive Telecommunications Program, I explored the intersection of psychology, technology, and design. It was there that I fell in love with 100 Days of Making.

I enjoy using drawing as a way to navigate things I learn about and see in the world. I love walking, working out, listening to podcasts, and hanging out with my dog Waffles.
